Andrea began her training at an early age in Ontario. Throughout her youth she studied intensively in the disciplines of Ballet, Tap and Jazz, and in more recent years Modern, Lyrical, Flamenco and Hip-Hop.
Past teaching and choreographic experience includes: Teacher on the staff of several renowned Dance Schools in H.R.M.; Recipient of a number of Gold medals and High Achievement Awards in the Professional category of the Millennium and B.A.T.D. dance competitions and the Eastern Canadian Dance Championships; Choreographer for high school musicals, fashion shows, public demonstrations and variety shows.

In the Spring of 2006, Andrea graduated from the Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts (M.C.P.A.) Teachers Program receiving her Teacher's Diploma in Dance.  She had previously attained the highest mark award for her R.A.D. (Royal Academy of Dance) Grade 8 Ballet Exam. She went on to achieve her Associate member status with the C.D.T.A. (Canadian Dance Teachers' Association) in both Ballet and Stage after completing teaching exams in April 2006. She is currently working toward her advanced level with the Ceccetti Society of Ballet.

        
Andrea's students regularly enter local dance festivals, competitions and C.D.T.A. Exams. Andrea has also recently joined a professional dance performance group "Funktion", for which she is also a choreographer. She is a member of the M.C.P.A.'s Ballet ensemble and last year Andrea danced the part of the "Silly Stepsister" in the 2006 production of Cinderella, which performed at the Dunn Theater in Halifax and in May 2007 and again in November 2007 remounted the part of  "The Dutchess" in M.C.P.A.'s production of "Alice The Ballet". She has just this November been appointed the Dance Captain of the M.C.P.A. Ballet Ensemble.

"Miss Andrea" has been a teacher with Nova Dance Studio since it's inception in 2001. She currently teaches Creative Movement, Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Contemporary and Flamenco to Junior, Intermediate and Senior students.
